I haven’t had a lot of luck with models I meet outside the normal channels (mainly through modelmayhem.com or referrals). Krystyna is one of the exceptions. I met her through Facebook and she really liked my work. She’d done some photoshoots with friends but I wouldn’t consider her a model. We had a very fun shoot though and got some lovely images. This is one of my favorites.
It’s getting to the point where it’s harder to take chances on people who don’t have a fairly deep modeling portfolio. Most of the times it’s ended up with me wasting time or even film. But the few successes make me lean towards taking a few chances at least. I think Krystyna and I will be shooting again.
